Please remember to watch LDS General Conference live on TV or on the web...
We loved the way Elder and Sister Armstrong-our Sr.Couples Missionary friends in Tuscon AZ explained this idea,,,
"We invite all of you to identify and list some personal questions and issues that matter a lot and concern you a lot. Then, tune in to every session of conference possible to listen for answers and direction points (we always receive them, including unexpected ones), with a notepad or ipad to record your impressions. Click here to learn how to tune in via internet, both live and afterwards. (https://www.lds.org/church/
We are so happy to be part of Missionary work in the Philippines. Pangasinan is the entire Urdaneta Mission area. Our area is Mangaldan 1st,2nd Branches.
(Of course, Sister Roberts has always been a people person thru her life, like, how do you do, who's your family are you a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?) Now she and Elder Roberts can represent the Lord as his authorized servants to do this. Elder Roberts is great at it too.
This is Amor and Grama Corazon.
Virginia - I love her and her flowers and turtles so much. She finally started coming to Church- even with her handsome sons. Then sadly we learned she has gone to a far-away country to work for 3 years. I feel it is a sad Philippino tradition to leave family like this.
We met Sister Anacita Aquino when we first arrived and visited 18 families in one week. I was in culture shock when we visited these homes. Now when we visit, I just feel like they are our friends !
Last week we visited a sweet woman- Sister Ercanacion Erpelo that reminds us of Grama Willow on the Disney movie- Pocahantas. She lives in 1 room. She has a bed that Elder Roberts saw one of the box spring wires sticking up 5". He cut the wire for her. She (sweetly) keeps her children's pics in the pages of the Scriptures, so they will be close to the Lord- (oooh!) Someone gave me a brown necklace. I showed it to her. She loved it and we gave it to her. She now wears it close to her heart every week to Church.
It is for her and others - I wonder why the Church does not send thin Humanitarian quilts to the Philippines - not for warmth, but for the elderly, young and cripple to lay on. We visited a family whose Mother had passed away, and saw their sweet crippled 20+yr old daughter girl laying on a piece of cardboard. The sister said, Now, Sister Roberts, you know our other trial.
This is another member, Brother Almonte, a Father of very fine married daughters and a son in the District Presidency.
Sister Espiritu Biagton got baptized 3 weeks ago. She is 80. What an example that you are never to old to join The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I told her I liked her Wandering Jew vines hanging plants. She cut them many of these to give to me.
We visited a while ago, the Primary President, Sister Petras. Many asked me if I was in mourning of a death - wearing black ! I haven't worn this outfit again...
We had the great experience of meeting the Missionaries on a personal basis.
We went to check the Missionaries apts. to see if anything is broken, burned out, needed or dangerous. Mostly, they just need more water storage, and complete their 72-hour kits.
The Mission Office Elders uuhh "apartment" is really a luxury home with leather couches and a chandelier
We saw Elder Sta. Ana the tallest one- at the Mission Home. He is the one who received a referral from Sister Roberts brother- Elder Mike and Sister Terry Martin who are also serving a Mission in Guam Micronesia. Their blog is http://micronesianmission.blogspot.com/
For our Father and Mother, David and Virginia Martin, we are are sooo proud to have 2 of us as of their children serving full-time Senior Couple Missions at the same time. (And we're pretty close in the ocean too.. Elder Dennis and Sister Beth Ann M. Roberts in Urdaneta, Philippines and Elder Mike and Sister Terry Martin in Guam Micronesia.)

Our eldest Brother, Ken and Sandy Martin are doing great work in Nevada, too.
And our sister Diana and Dave Haslam are serving great in Utah.
Here is Elder Roberts sister, Barbara Wilcox, she is loving and kind and struggling with health problems. Please pray for her. She has had 6 children.
Here is the picture of Elder Roberts parents, Frank and Clarissa Roberts, now deceased. They loved and supported their family.
We are grateful for our parents, children and grandchildren. May the Lord bless us all and may we all love Him by serving him in our families, Church, Temple, Missions and communities.
Love,
Elder and Sister Roberts
