KIND PHILIPPINO PEOPLE WITH THEIR CHILDREN

The Philippino people are so kind to us.  And Elder Roberts and I feel that their children are blessing us in our work of the Lord to bring families to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
We seem to be very blessed that wherever we go to visit members, member or non-member children wave and are welcoming to us, and then their parents make friends with us.

Again, we went to visit a sweet Mother who had recently had a baby.  The children showed us the way.

The Mother welcomed us warmly into her tiny, closet-like home.  The baby was asleep in the hammock.

The children that had guided us were also welcomed and stayed in the tiny home for us - the visiting Missionaries.
Sister Roberts started the song, Families Can Be Together forever.  All of these songs are from the LDS Children's Songbook.  Here is the link to play the song...

Then, we were warm, so we sang a cold song, Once there was a Snowman.

Elder Roberts suggested singing Popcorn Popping on the Apricot Tree.

Sister Roberts prayed in Tagalog language.  Although it wasn't perfect, the children copied her every word in prayer.
We noticed parents and more children looking through the window.  Then after we finished, we were escorted by many children through the dark pathways to our car.

We gave all the pamphlets and pass-along-card we had.  They said please come visit us again!  We thought later maybe for a compound Family Home Evening.
We told the young Missionaries who teach in this area about our experience.  They said - Really ?   That area is not welcoming to us.  Hmmm I guess through the simple and weak (us) the Lord can accomplish his work this time, as others can when we cannot.

We want to say that the young Elders and Sisters here are WONDERFUL and kindest Missionaries.

We as Missionaries wrote letters to God and sent them skyward.

Now for a bit of fun.  If Sister Roberts family moves to the Philippines, here is our family  car....

Again, the end of a wonderful Mission Day.

We thank you for looking at our blog, may God bless you and your family as He does ours and all people - we are all His Children and desire to live with Him again.
Love,
Elder and Sister Roberts
