Happy Easter and Quad Zone Conference in Dagupan

Dear Family and Friends,

We as Senior Couple Missionaries have the awesome privilege to participate in the Mission  Zone Conference.  This is half of the Mission assembled.
The Zones were Alaminos, Aguilar, Dagupan, Lingayan, Bayambang and Calasiao.  We get to meet so many fine Elders and Sisters who have given their lives for 2 years or 18 months to serve the Lord.

The Zone Conference was about being a better Consecrated Missionary and Disciple of Christ. The talks contained many comments from Elder Tad Callister's talk in 2008    Becoming a Consecrated Missionary - here is entire talk.

President and Sister Monahan spoke.  Some pictures here were at the luncheon, not in the Chapel, where the talks were given.

President Monahan spoke that we should be representatives of Jesus Christ, and not draw attention to ourselves. (On our Mission, we really do take upon us the name of Jesus Christ - on our nametags - along with our own names).

He also spoke that while other Churches teach that we should love and follow Jesus Christ, no other Church but ours teach that we can become - like Heavenly Father  and create worlds without end.

President Monahan spoke that this Mission experience can teach us to accomplish the very best blessing, of later becoming a great Husband or Wife, and a great Father or Mother.  (Of all the Titles Heavenly Father chose for himself, he chose the name of Father.)

Are we willing to lay everything upon the Altar of Sacrifice and hold nothing back, to become our very best Disciple of Christ?  It is sad to relate that the evil Jews in Jesus' time would sacrifice many lambs in their religion, and yet they sacrificed the True Lamb of God,        Jesus Christ.

Christ sacrificed his all for us    in the Garden of Gethsemane,  and on the cross.

President Monahan reminded us to sacrifice any disobedience, any fears, pride, sins, and negative attitudes.  Are you standing on the road bragging, or kneeling at the Altar?

 Sister Monahan spoke of Repentance...
1. Love   God to do it.
2. Change of heart.
3. Willingness to persevere from now on.
4. Forgiveness, the joy of it, if you have been
forgiven, you feel the Holy Ghost with you.
      Forgive yourself, and move forward.

And we, Elder and Sister Roberts testify at the Easter Season that Jesus Christ gave us the gift of the Atonement by:
His dying on the cross and being Resurrected after the 3rd day, that every person of the family of Adam and Eve will be also resurrected, no matter what they have done in life.
Matthew 24:6 He is not here: for he is risen,

We can be given the gift to live with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and our families in Eternal Life, and have and enjoy all He has, if we keep the commandments and ordinances of the Gospel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
We say this in the sacred name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Now we show the pictures of the wonderful Missionary Elders and Sisters at the Zone Conference.  (There are many pics!)

Elder Lamb is the tallest in pic, he is from our home Moroni Stake.  Next to the right is Elder Howell, his uncle Murray Howell went to Skyline High School with me, Sister Beth Ann Martin Roberts.

Happy Easter and follow Jesus' footsteps & Love to all,
Elder and Sister Roberts
