Missionary District Mtgs and Apt Repairs

Dear Family and Friends,

We went to Missionary District weekly meeting with great talks.  We have Wonderful Elders and Sister Missionaries.

 Elder Tippets and Elder Ng

 .Elder Patterson and Elder Ball

We celebrated Sister Laulu's birthday.  She will go home to Australia very soon.  Sister Zarred (from my brother Elder Martin's Guam Mission area) is in the back on  the right.

We all had a good time,  Elder Arrington, (with Elder Lat) really really appreciated the Cool Ranch Doritos we brought.  He did not want to share them, but he did...

Then, we had our Mangaldan Zone picture taken.

We are SO GRATEFUL to get to go to  Apartment checks and repairs, because we get to see Missionaries in other areas.  We went to Rosales Zone areas.  We passed dry fields.
We saw corn being dried on the roads.

Elder Roberts was tempted to go to the Mountains, but was obedient and drove on....

We passed different styles of our Church bldgs

Zone Leaders Elders Giblett and Sanchez are on the ends, with Elders Cailing and Trout in middle of this picture.

Sometimes we have to ask questions during Apartment Checks.  Is everything in your apt. ok?  Yes Elder Roberts, but the handle on our kitchen sink broke, so we turn it on with pliers. Is everything else ok, do you have enough plates and..?  Yes, but we only have 3 cups for 4 people, etc.

We saw some interesting and comical things in apartments, like replacing a broken handle of a plunger, with a bend twig...

How great to see again Missionaries that worked before with us in Mangaldan area that we work at.

Along the way, driving in the car, Elder Roberts heard a scream from Sister Roberts that he had only heard once before on their Mission!
Sister Roberts yelled SPIDER by my LEG - and Elder Roberts grabbed her shoulder before she jumped out of the car in the intersection.  He pulled over and she jumped out.
The Elders in the back seat giggled that she probably was afraid of an itsy-bitsy spider that "might look like this"....

They then said - WO ..  when they saw that it was 2"  big, in the car by the console.
We post a pic of the same type of a 5" spider that we got rid of in our bathroom about 9 months ago...

Elder Sanchez put his hand in a plastic bag, caught the large spider by the leg, and showed it to laughing bystanders.  Then Elder Roberts said,,, now let's go find Sister Roberts,, down the road !

Ok,  back to Missionary Work!  We enjoyed seeing all the Rosales area Elders and Sisters,  and will miss and love those who are going home.

Sister Belaro in  purple was like our "trainer".  She and Sis. Lau (not here) helped us last year March 2014, to know how to find people to visit on our Mission.  She will go home in a couple of weeks.

The first time we visited Rosales, the Zone Leaders led us to each apt location.   We talked of Faith in Jesus Christ- our month's topic.

The next week, we prayed we would be blessed to find each apt by ourselves, for repairs.
Elder Roberts received a miracle blessing - he drove to each apt the first time - even tho some apts were down a small alley, then behind 3 homes,,, etc.

It is a pleasure also fixing minor repairs, to bless Missionaries to have good water, and be safe in their apts.

What an interesting, inspiring Mission this is!
On the way home again.

Love,
Elder and Sister Roberts
