Apt Checks and Happy Philippine People

Dear Family and Friends,

We have the super opportunity of meeting one on one visits with the Missionaries for Zone Apartment Checks.  We have scripture and prayer with them.

Then we ask, is everything ok in your apartment?  Yes Elder and Sister Roberts, but birds and bugs come in  sometimes.   Here Elder come up the stairs and we'll show you...

It is strange to us that we check off if a window screen has a small hole, but then the Missionaries show us the apartment roof is not sealed to the house, and you can see daylight.....?  We do our best to work with the Landlord.

We've been counseled by Pres. Monahan to OYM Open Your Mouths.  So I did to the woman taking the picture... and asked her if she would like to hear the Missionary Discussions ... and I made a referral of her,, the next door neighbor of the Missionaries.

Here's a pic of the Zone Leaders with their fellow Missionary roommates.

Some apartments are tiny and 1 level , maybe as large as a garage like this green apt.

Some are large and double or more levels.

We see interesting things along the highway...

Our Chapels...

Other Faiths Chapels..

We drive by a parade.

  We love meeting the Missionaries

Sister Roberts has to tell Elder Roberts, No dear, don't steer over towards the Mountains (that he loves) .... we're loving the Missionaries today...

Some views look very much like a picture of home.

Some Landladies are members of the Church, with darling children...

Sister Teutau in back in yellow shirt, was a very shy, worried, never smiling Sister when we first met her.  She prayed and read and worked hard.  Now she's so happy, full of the Spirit of Missionary Work.

The Zone Leaders are fortunate to go out to dinner after visiting 20-24 Missionaries with us.

The Zone Leaders will be doing apt checks, now that our Sr Couples are reduced to 1 Couple Missionaries, when we go  home.

(Please send our Urdaneta Philippines Mission more Senior Couples !)

We also heard on the Internet that our Mission is one of the least expensive full-time Sr. Couple Missions.

Elder Adrián Ochoa
Elder Adrián Ochoa of the Seventy said in his talk, “Ye Are the Light of the World,” Ensign, Sept. 2012, 30....

Missions vary in terms of assignment and length depending on the missionary’s abilities, they involve real work, real service, and real sacrifice that make a difference in building the kingdom of God on earth.”

Love, Elder and Sister Roberts
