Happy Mother's Day, We were Transferred to San Fabian! After 13 months in Mangaldan.

Hello Family and Friends...

Happy Mother's Day to our own Mothers.
To Elder Robert's Mother, Clarissa Ellen Dansie Roberts, who has passed away, loving and watching over us.

And to Sister Roberts Mother, Virginia H. Martin, still taking care of Daddy at home, and loving that we are on a Mission.

Happy Mother's Day to all the Mothers in our family, daughters, daughters-in-law, sisters, sisters-in-law, and all women we love and love us.

We had our first transfer of our Mission, to a new area of San Fabian 2 Church Branch after 13 months of visiting members in Mangaldan city Branches 1,2,3. We stay at our same apartment in Calasiao city, we just drive farther.

(The young teaching Missionaries sometimes get transferred to a new area after 3 months, some sooner, some later.)

We were very surprised, but jumped right in to visit and meet people. This San Fabian Branch needs extra help for clearing records and reactivation.

We are happy to work with Sister Missionaries- Sister Leyte and Sister Zarred. Sister Zarred also was just transferred here.  She is from Guam Micronesia, where Sister Roberts brother and wife - Elder and Sister Martin - are also serving a Senior Couple Mission.

The other Senior Couple, the Shamrells who work in the Mission Office, are already assigned to and go to Church at this Branch.
We, with the Shamrell's went to a wedding in the Branch. District President Jardeleza married them.

We were given some of the decoration flowers, highlighted with a rainbow overhead.....!

We got directions for the home Wedding Reception. We went down a road, it got more and more narrow.....

We went past people eyeing us, wondering where we were going. We turned the corner....

and...it was a field... Oh well, we laughed, its a new area!

At the reception, they put us at the head table, serving mounds of rice with bbque pork and chicken, brownies and wedding cake.  We don't drink Coke, so they went next door to buy some other orange pop for us.

The cousin's baby twins were cute!

 Another pretty sunset going home.

The next day, we went to Dagupan City early to deliver mail to Elders Taniera & Divver (E.Divver's Gr-parents are in my parents SLC, UT ward).

We went to our new San Fabian 2 area and the Young Men and Young Women were practicing for a District-wide Youth Conference Road Show.  Sister Roberts gave some ideas for the play, songs, and costumes.  We watched the dance performance practice.

Elder Roberts made appointments for members to go with us to visit inactive members.

We were accompanied on our visits with a fine RM, Jereil Magno. We visited Sister Parayno's family. She's in the Primary Presidency.

We went past a fish farm, the happy fish were popping out of the water.

4 Boys playing in a tree...

We visited a member's family with a beautiful view in back yard.

We shared with this family, the message of this month, of Baptism. In 2 Nephi 31, all three members of the Godhead testify of Baptism.

In 2 Nephi 31:11, our Heavenly
Father says:

11 And the Father said: Repent ye, repent ye, and be baptized in the name of my Beloved Son.

In verse 12 Jesus Christ says:

12 And also, the voice of the Son came unto me, saying: He that is baptized in my name, to him will the Father give the Holy Ghost, like unto me; wherefore, follow me, and do the things which ye have seen me do.

:And Nephi shows that the Holy Ghost confirms the truth in   verse 13:

13 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, I know that if ye shall follow the Son, with full purpose of heart, acting no hypocrisy and no deception before God, but with real intent, repenting of your sins, witnessing unto the Father that ye are willing to take upon you the name of Christ, by baptism—yea, by following your Lord and your Savior down into the water, according to his word, behold, then shall ye receive the Holy Ghost; yea, then cometh the baptism of fire and of the Holy Ghost; and then can ye speak with the tongue of angels, and shout praises unto the Holy One of Israel.

We close this blog that we bear testimony of the Truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

And that we still make the same covenants after we are baptized, for all our lives, to be able to live in Eternal Life with our Heavenly Father, his son Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost.

The beauty of God is still in the approaching light rainstorm on the way home..

Here's the rain, hurry home.

In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Elder Dennis and Sister Beth Ann Roberts
