RM's, Our Own Sons Missions, Pres. Monson says Go to the Temple

Hello Family and Friends,
We say goodbye to these dear Missionaries that we became very good friends with.   They have been wonderful servants of the Lord, proclaiming his Gospel and most, if not all have participated in baptisms.  We know their testimonies have been strengthened.

Two of these Missionaries were like our "Trainers".  Sister Lau from Provo (front in the striped dress)  and Sister Balero from the Philippines, she reminds us of Sandra Bullock..(black shirt with white buttons).

They helped us learn how to find people and homes, to ask at Sari-Sari little neighborhood stores - (that are every 10 homes),

...to look for house address #'s that are to the normal eye almost non-existant,

Do you see the #?
Here it is... # 161 (enlarged view)

Those Sister Missionaries taught us to be happy to sit on a wood bench with chickens running between your legs, and laughing when Sister Roberts said... We're going in THAT JUNGLE??  They started to sing....In the jungle, the mighty jungle, the lion sleeps tonight..

Sister Roberts    n e v e r   thought she would experience some of the same things that her 3 brave sons experienced on their Missions -

Jeremy to Porto Portugal

Peter to Belo Horizonte West Brazil

And Rusty to Tampico Mexico
    Here's another with Rusty's face...

And Elder Roberts sons bravely served in..
When we get home,we will update pictures here

Wendle to Salta Argentina
Michael to Barranquilla Columbia
Matthew to London England
James to Boston Massachusettes
Brice to Salvador Brazil
Brett to Lima Peru East

Our Area Presidency has encouraged Returned Missionaries to try to keep up to the same level of spirituality and prayer as on their Mission.  Elder Roberts has said the way to do this is to attend the Temple every week.

In this year's April LDS General Conference,
our Prophet, President Thomas S. Monson talked about going to the Temple.  He said:

My brothers and sisters, in our lives we will have temptations; we will have trials and challenges. As we go to the temple, as we remember the covenants we make there, we will be better able to overcome those temptations and to bear our trials. In the temple we can find peace.

The blessings of the temple are priceless. One for which I am grateful every day of my life is that which my beloved wife, Frances, and I received as we knelt at a sacred altar and made covenants binding us together for all eternity. There is no blessing more precious to me than the peace and comfort I receive from the knowledge I have that she and I will be together again.
May our Heavenly Father bless us that we may have the spirit of temple worship, that we may be obedient to His commandments, and that we may follow carefully the steps of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I testify that He is our Redeemer. He is the Son of God.

Some other talks seemed to focus on Marriage.

Elder Uchtdorf spoke an excellent talk about love for everyone later at a  April 24, 2015, at the John A. Widtsoe Symposium at the University of Southern California.

Elder Uchtdorf =  If we only learned to love God as our Father in Heaven, this would give us purpose in life. If we only learned to love our fellowman as our brothers and sisters, this would give us compassion.
Have a great week !  The Gospel of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true !

Love,
Elder and Sister Roberts
