Teaching at store, End of Road, Children Bless us, Missionary B-Ball & water fun

Hello to all our Family and Friends.

This is a catch-up blog, of all the things we have been doing in the last month that we didn't enter in our other blogs.

We went to our wonderful Robinson's Supermarket store.  We're soooo grateful to live closeby and shop here.  They have most of the things we need.

We were shopping, and Sister Roberts was picking up some Chips, and noticed a group of young men and women, doing some kind of game to pick out things on a list for a treasure hunt.   She laughed and told them what "chips we like best in America".  They laughed and said they couldn't afford them.  But she told them about our Church, and gave them pass-along cards.

We went down a road one day, looking for a family that was inactive.

We asked many people along the way, they said "doon, doon" (said doh-on, it means over there, over there).

After 15-20 minutes driving and asking, we saw a family that had set up their barbeque in the middle of the road.

And that WAS the end of the road.
BUT.....it WAS the Family we were looking for !  They moved their barbeque for us and got us some chairs to sit on. We still believe God is in charge of whom He wants us to visit.

They enjoyed looking at our pics from home.  We gave them a message and some Article of Faith cards and invited them back to Church.

We found another active family next door...

So,   we persevere,    even to the end of the road....

Hmmm
(There is another story in our Family History about the End of the Trail.  Our Grama Ruby Martin in about 1935, was going to have a Birthday, and her little children wanted to give her a present.  She gave them a penny, and they gave her the famous Indian picture "End of the Trail".  It's been a Martin family favorite ever since.)
Another day, we went the Petras family that several children were graduating from High School and College. They invited us to the nice dinner, with huge amounts of food.

We talked with their brother and his family and gave an Articles of Faith card to him.  They were very friendly.

The children liked Elder Roberts

And they gave Sister Roberts a "bless you", where Parents in the Philippines have taught their children to raise our hand up to their little foreheads.  We have received a bless you by toddlers only age one.  We just love to be blessed by a child...

In the Book of Mormon, , Jesus Christ showed himself to the Nephites in America after his Resurrection.  He fed the people and opened the mouths babies so that the babies could speak.  We read in
3 Nephi 26:13,14...
13 Therefore, I would that ye should behold that the Lord truly did teach the people, for the space of three days; and after that he did show himself unto them oft, and did break bread oft, and bless it, and give it unto them.

14 And it came to pass that he did teach and minister unto the children of the multitude of whom hath been spoken, and he did loose their tongues, and they did speak unto their fathers great and marvelous things, even greater than he had revealed unto the people; and he loosed their tongues that they could utter.

Another day, we had a Zone Activity with the Missionaries.  We had a water and balloon activity and basketball.

Whoosh...

And we played basketball

Even with Elder Roberts

  We all got pretty wet..

Time to take down the net and go back to work...

We have a great time on our Urdaneta Philippines Mission, whether teaching the Gospel in the store, families in homes, or having fun with Missionaries...

Love to all,
Elder and Sister Roberts
